Fingerprint Friday...

I can see the fingerprints of God
When I look at you
I can see the fingerprints of God
And I know its true
You're a masterpiece
That all creation quietly applauds
And you're covered with the fingerprints of God

--Steven Curtis Chapman

God's fingerprints are all over this boy. I love this kid so much. Everything about him. I love him even when he breaks all of our stuff  and howls like a wolf just because he likes to. I love him for all the gray hairs he's given me (they're like battle scars in defense of his body and soul). The Lord has great plans for him. There's evidence all over his life; his energy, his passion, his intelligence...
He can sing "Awesome God" solo at the top of his lungs in front of a party full of strangers. He can read books well beyond his grade level and play lovingly with little ones well below his grade level. He can drive me into a frustrated frenzy one minute and melt my heart the next.

This photo shows him in a tranquil moment with the wild side held up for a time. Rubber boots, pocket knife on a "God is Awesome" lanyard, pushing an empty cart through a muddy wood just because he can.

Thanks again to pamperingbeki for the invitation to participate inFingerprint Friday!
