And it begins...

Our first day of school. More accurately, Professor's first full day of high school while the rest of the kids ease into their schedules. I'm about 10 minutes away from waking everyone and I'm taking a pause and a deep breath before I do.

We're already starting off on an imperfect foot but I'm not going to let that upset me. The children went to bed extremely late so I'm letting them sleep just a bit longer. It really was my fault that they were up so long and we have no place in particular to be so... they sleep and I type, knowing that by relaxing my plans just a bit (so soon??) will help the kids be more productive throughout the day.

Professor is actually very nervous and excited. He spent yesterday working on his planner, preparing apologetics notes for an upcoming boys' club, and researching his favorite Catholic colleges. I know he was up after 1:00am just tossing and turning. I'll try to post his curriculum here later today. I consider it to be rather challenging but I know he's up to the task. He's already talking about trying to graduate early. We'll see how he feels later today. :)

I consecrate myself this day to the Divine Mercy and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Lord, you know what I need today. Please hold me up. All for Your greater glory!!!
