I love Advent and Christmas and all the smells, bells, lights, sounds, and all of the sensory beauty that points to the coming of our Infant King. It would still be Christmas without them but what a blessing it is to have the opportunity to have such a celebration.
I love the color red. And snowflakes. And beautiful words like "Rejoice!" and the Sacred Scriptures. When one of my readers emailed to let me know about a lovely Christmas t-shirt
that her husband had designed that included all of those elements, I was impressed.
In addition, all profits from the sales of his shirt are donated to Mary's Meals
which provides meals for hungry children. To use one's talents to serve and glorify the Lord... isn't that how we should be giving at Christmas? So wonderful.
Bridget's entire family has poured themselves into this project... with her sweet kids helping to spread their Dad's talent and the Gospel message through the work of their hands.
When I recently checked their website, I noticed that the shirts were SOLD OUT. Awesome. Except for those who wanted one and can no longer get one. I have one (thank you, Bridget!!) and I do feel for those of you don't because it's lovely. But for those of you who fall into that category, there is hope... because Bridget and her family have generously provided a shirt to Blossoming Joy to give away to one of my readers!
|Love my t-shirt. Don't love having my picture taken. |
