This is the outfit that almost nobody saw... and perhaps it was better that way. I have a fashion sense that walks to the beat of it's own drum. And I'm not saying that with an "I'm super special that way" kind of emphasis, more like a "Just clueless" emphasis.
Very few people saw me wearing this today because I spent most of Mass inside of the van or wandering the halls. I didn't even make it into church at all with my closest attempt being the vestibule. That's okay... I'll just keep fighting for it. Mass times just seem to coordinate awfully well with Peaches' fussy times and she is LOUD.
What was I doing here? (Wouldn't we all like to know?) Well, my first thought was "Oh shoot, we're late for Mass." My second was "I wish I could stay in my t-shirt in sweats." Seems like I did all right all things considered.
Sweater: Hand me down. Yes, I am wearing white. Labor Day has no power over me. I wear white all year round because it is just so fresh and pretty.
Top: Target. Perfect for post-partum bellies and nursing babies.
Skirt: Philosophy by Republic. Jersey knit. I'm not sure how I feel about the orange stripes but it was inexpensive ($15 on sale) and comfy... purchased specifically for postpartum wear. I wear skirts to Sunday Mass 99.5% of the time but I feel like I'm cheating when I wear clothes that are actually more comfortable than sweat pants.
Hair: Messy bun with stretch lace headband made by me.
My gratitude to the Chief for agreeing to take these pics. I'm not sure what I was doing in the third one but if he thought it was special... well okay then.
